This position will provide direct support for our clients (including Fannie Mae, FDIC, U.S. Treasury, and S.E.C.) in Washington, D.C. The Business Analyst will create scope documents and requirements matrices, analyze requirements that are not yet fully and clearly stated, be able to reverse engineer to identify core business requirements and contribute toward the development of baseline specifications, conduct UAT, and perform certain project management responsibilities.

You will take the lead in identifying, refining, organizing, and documenting system requirements and test documentation. Close, careful, and scrupulous attention to detail under tight deadline and quick turn-around constraints is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Scope definition and documentation
  • Functional requirements definition and analysis
  • Fit/gap analysis, defining approaches, data validation
  • Data analysis, conversion requirements, data mapping, specification review
  • Ensuring the quality and integrity of data from conversions/migration
  • Formulating and defining business transformation objectives through research and fact-finding
  • Create UAT scripts and perform testing


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of progressive data analysis, requirements analysis, business process analysis, and testing experience
  • Experience in test planning, leading and conducting test efforts, and documenting/delivering test packages
  • Experience testing software systems/applications with formal knowledge of testing methodology
  • Well-versed in the software development lifecycle
  • Strong writing, analysis, and facilitation skills; ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization and across various disciplines
  • Experience analyzing and solving complex technical problems; ability to research issues faced by programmers and developers, and creatively seek solutions
  • Time management skills for conducting multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
  • Visio, Excel and advanced MS Word

Nice to have:
  • Skill in estimating project schedules/durations
  • Previous experience with financial data/systems and risk management processes
  • Previous experience working with accounting, mortgage, and/or loan-level data
  • MS Project
