DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Business Analyst 3 with an in-depth understanding of the Bureau's needs and system's abilities, you will serve as the primary contact and agency expert over BPOA IT initiatives. Work involves planning, managing, and monitoring the design, development, and implementation of these critical and highly visible BPOA initiatives. You will have the opportunity to consult and collaborate with the program area offices to identify needs, issues, and concerns, and recommend appropriate solutions. Additional responsibilities include
  • Supervising and directing Business Analyst 2s in developing system testing, test scripts, and user stories
  • Participating in the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Reviewing and evaluating existing and proposed processes
  • Developing technical training manuals and user system training

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work schedule may be negotiable.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion the a probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Business Analyst 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six years of business process analysis experience; or
  • Two years of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
