Position Title - Sr. Business Analyst
Duration - 12 months
Possibility of extension - Yes
Possibility of FTE - Yes, contract to hire possible after 6 months
Working Location - Chicago (Naperville) preferred but open to remote. If local to a CLIENT hub, hybrid work model (3 days in office/wk, Thursdays required, but other days flexible).
$75.86 - $76.92 per hour on W2
Role Mandate: The selected candidate will be supporting the analysis and requirement gathering needs for the Alto digital banking application project. They will work to define business requirements to inform technology build and operations by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing, and documenting business processes and collaborating with business stakeholders. The selected candidate will have a strong background in modern banking platform (MBP), digital one (D1), agile/waterfall methodology, and stakeholder management.
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Perform analysis on business and technical requirements provided.
Facilitate the session(s) to gather all requirements/create the user stories.
Document confirmed requirements/work with Product Owner on User Stories.
Provide clarifications and support to project team during design, development and testing phases
Understands Software Development Life Cycle and can effectively perform BA tasks for each of the project phases.
Elicits requirements and analyzes feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
Supports various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements.
Develops informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements.
Applies depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
Become SME and provide support during various phases of Testing and Post-Production validation.
Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Must-Have Skills:
8-10 years of business analysis experience
Relevant post-secondary degree, and any agile certifications a strong asset
Strong knowledge of requirement gathering methods including interviewing, data modeling and business process modeling.
Knowledge and experience with Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
Experience with Jira / Confluence, MS office, and Visio
Experience working with a SaaS based product
Previous banking experience required and former CLIENT an asset.
Previous experience in retail banking or deposits preferred
Working experience with Digital Banking Platforms including account opening and account servicing products
Working experience with retail deposits core banking platforms - including time deposit products
Prior experience with FIS Modern Banking Platform and Digital One products will be a huge plus
Professional demeanor and comfortable managing stakeholders of any seniority.
Experience will ancillary banking systems (GL, sanctions, money movement, ACH)
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills
Excellent critical thinking/analytical/problem solving and organizational skills; ability to analyze issues/requests and determine next steps
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
Demonstrates transparency and willingness to share knowledge and best practices.
Displays acumen with technical concepts and business/industry knowledge with a strong desire for continuous learning.
Interview Process:
First Round - 45min Teams meeting with HM
Second Round - 45min Teams meeting with senior team members for technical assessments (agile/waterfall/presentation skills, etc.).
Third Round - 45min Teams meeting with HM's one-up
First and Second round format will consist of behavioral/situational and getting to know you type questions.
