We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help support our Security, Pricing & Reference Data Team. More specifically, the role will help drive modernizing our approach to mastering and provisioning pricing data, expanding our data quality and asset class coverage, supporting our Enterprise Data Management initiative, expanding our MDM workflows and maintaining general support coverage.
Responsibilities:
  • Gather and document business requirements and specifications
  • Manage requirements change and maintain requirements traceability
  • Conduct business and systems requirements analysis at code and data level, such as data mapping and data conversion analysis
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the business architecture
  • Participate in data analysis, quality checks, and process controls
  • Demonstrate client focus and relationship management skills
  • Participate in sprint planning, enriching the user stories, and managing the backlog
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 7+ years of experience in the asset management business, ideally with a buy-side multi-asset focus; Preference for experience with multiple investment products (equities, fixed income, etc)
  • Strong technical background in data integration in the financial services industry
  • Solid understanding of system development methodologies and techniques, and an excellent grasp of database concepts and principles; Strong knowledge in SQL and database concepts
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) required; Project Management Skills
  • Familiar w/ Enterprise Data Management (Data Quality, "Mastering", Issue Resolution, workflow, etc.); Very familiar w/ Market Data (reference and pricing, across broad asset class coverage); Knowledge w/ Markit EDM a plus
  • Familiar w/ Accounting Data and Operational Workflows (internal support and outsource Fund Admin models)
  • Familiar w/ Position and Transaction Events (and respective nuances relative to Investment Products)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to get into the details, while being able to summarize
