Position Summary:
The Performance Analytics (PA) team at the Division aims to enhance its reporting ability for general users. We are working to develop clear, user-friendly reports featuring charts, tables and data visualizations. This effort seeks to streamline data from three systems, two internal and one external, utilizing Qlik dashboards and Power BI for reporting and visualization.
The PA team seeks a skilled Business Analyst to assist in this project and the following objectives:
Primary Objective
1. Enhance Reporting Capabilities
a. Develop user-friendly reports that include charts, tables, and visualizations to improve accessibility for general users.
b. Consolidate daily reporting outputs into comprehensive and standardized reports using Qlik and similar tools.
Sub-Objectives
2. Streamline Data Integration
a. Establish a seamless process to aggregate data from three systems (two internal, one external).
b. Utilize Power BI dashboards to enhance reporting accuracy, visualization, and user experience.
3. Develop Statewide Contract (SWC) Inventory
a. Create an inventory list of all SWCs, capturing essential contract details such as price structures, contract types, durations, and minimum quote requirements.
b. Ensure comprehensive SWC attribute visibility for users to support strategic decision making and improved reporting.
4. Identify Gaps and Improve Reporting Processes
a. ssess current reporting workflows and identify areas for improvement.
b. Propose solutions to enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
5. Establish Technical Standards and Best Practices
a. Develop standards for data reporting and visualization to ensure consistency.
b. Collaborate with the PA team and Data Analyst Lead to implement best practices and optimize reporting resources
6. Develop Ad Hoc Reporting Capabilities
a. Set up ad hoc reporting features to address frequently asked questions and specific reporting needs
b. Provide guidelines for creating quick reports to accommodate evolving requirements
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Support the Performance Analytics (PA) team and Data Analyst Lead on an ongoing project, assisting with the current state needs assessment and contributing to the development of guidelines for future improvements in ad hoc reporting.
Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards using Qlik and other tools to meet end-user requirements, fulfilling the Primary Objective of this project.
Complete all above listed Sub-Objectives, as integral features of the Primary Objective.
Ensure timely completion of all tasks by June 30.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in systems analysis, business process re-engineering, and reporting improvements.
dvanced proficiency in Excel, including data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
Proficiency in Qlik dashboarding and reporting tools.
Proficiency in Power BI and other similar reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio).
