Senior Business Analyst
The Corporate Scheduling and Time Reporting Project was established to implement an enterprise-wide scheduling and time reporting solution to enhance and streamline staff scheduling and time reporting processes. This new suite of business tools are key enablers necessary to realize the organization's need to provide consistent, timely, efficient, and reliable time reporting and scheduling services to staff.
The implementation of these business tools is a complex undertaking for the municipality; one that will introduce changes in business processes, practices, and the adoption of new digital technologies. The project has recently completed an initial solution configuration process and is now planning and preparing to advance with testing, training design and business readiness activities to support the adoption of the solution corporately. To advance this work, the municipality requires knowledgeable and experienced resources to join the current Corporate Scheduling and Time reporting project team to develop and deliver key business readiness, testing and training deliverables. The team will work hand in hand with business stakeholders and project team members to ensure the successful implementation of the solution across the organization while at the same time helping to mitigate service interruptions to business operations.
The Senior Business Analyst will participate as a member of the core project team and will be responsible for performing a variety of business analysis and business process related design duties. Working under the direction of the HRM Project Manager, the Senior Business Analyst will develop a detailed understanding of the business requirements, target state business processes, and the solution to aid in the creation of business process documents, job aids, training content and business change/readiness materials.

Scope of Work:
- Documentation of business processes using relevant modelling techniques such as Use Case, Swim-lane, and Data Flow Diagramming.
- Analysis of current business processes and the identification of relevant business changes and business impacts.
- Development of job aids and training content to support business readiness activities.
- Workshop facilitation and creation of effective working relationships with business stakeholders and business SMEs.
- Identification and documentation of business change impacts.
- Support the development of business change action plans.
- Develop test scenarios and test cases.
- Communicating business process/change related risks and issues to the Business Change Manager.
- Participate in testing and validation activities in coordination with business stakeholders.
- Document business decisions and action items
Qualifications -
- Demonstrated experience as Senior Business Analyst on an ERP implementation.
- Previous experience with scheduling and time reporting systems considered an asset.
- Previous experience working with Public Sector. Past project experience with Canadian municipality considered an asset
