Business Analyst

smartdept. is searching for a Business Analyst for a med-tech client located in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience. This is a full-time, hybrid, 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension. Compensation for this position is expected to be $58/hr - $68/hr depending on experience level and fit.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
• Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
• Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.
• May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.
• May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.

What You'll Need:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• SQL skills required (Snowflake)
• Tableau Desktop Certification preferred
• Manufacturing/Logistics domain knowledge preferred
