About The Role

We are looking for a skilled BC Developer that can impact our products and become part of our remote tech team. We expect you to participate in the whole product workflow - from idea to production, implementation, and support. You will help build new features, do code reviews, push releases, and make sure your features work and continue to work in production. You will also help us push forward our technical stack and infrastructure to improve the performance, availability, and scalability of our software solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A knk BC DEVELOPER

  • Develops clean, reliable, and maintainable code primarily using AL for Business Central, along with PowerShell for automation and scripting, and SQL for data management and querying, including code comments and other documentation, as required.
  • Follows best practices in coding standards, error handling, and performance optimization to ensure scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft technologies that integrate with Business Central such as Power Platform and Azure
  • Execution of developer tests, and creation of test cases.
  • Analyze, design, and implement change requests (CRs), including effort estimation and detailed technical specifications, with a strong focus on usability and system performance.
  • Design and support data migration processes and interface integrations between Business Central and other systems such as Dataverse, Lanham EDI, Continia
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with source code control systems, including GitHub and Azure DevOps, for version management, branching strategies, code reviews, and collaboration within development teams.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and tracking development tasks within a project. This includes breaking down requirements into actionable items, estimating effort, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of assigned work.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, collaborating effectively with team members and the project manager to provide regular status updates, coordinate task dependencies, and proactively address any issues or changes in scope.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3 + years Experience coding and debugging in Business Central.
  • Aware of new technologies that can been leveraged in Business Central SaaS.
  • Experience with Business Central environment management experience
  • Experience in deploying and upgrading db's from OnPrem to SaaS environment is an asset
  • Experience in using Azure Dev Ops for development tracking of shared development environments
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Experience in a customer facing consulting environments
  • Experience in creating and running automated testing for code mods in Business Central a plus.
  • Experience in Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Automate for workflows.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and Jira are a plus.
  • Experience with Third Party addons such as Avatax, VersaPay, Lanham is a plus.

  • Competitive pay, $95-120k, based on experience.
