CAMS supports some of the world's largest financial institutions, independent power producers (IPPs), utilities, manufacturers, and private equity firms.
We are seeking a Business Development Associate to join our Houston-based team and support the expansion of CAMS' revenue through the acquisition of new service contracts. This individual will play a vital role in identifying, pursuing, and winning new business opportunities across the U.S. domestic market, with a focus on infrastructure investors, utilities, and energy sector manufacturers. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering value to clients.

Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate strategic relationships with potential clients.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, sales presentations, and marketing collateral (e.g., PowerPoint decks, flyers).
- Coordinate and contribute to responses for Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Support the development and management of a robust sales pipeline through direct and indirect outreach.
- Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; generate reports as needed.
- Schedule and participate in introductory sales meetings (virtual or in-person) and ensure timely follow-up with prospects.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, corporate communications, and functional leads to implement business development initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience directly supporting sales or business development teams.
- Experience in the energy or infrastructure sectors is strongly preferred.
- Background in technical writing is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe InDesign and Zoho CRM (or similar platforms) is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple sales campaigns simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and client-focused mindset.
- Ability to engage cross-functional teams for proposal development and contract processing.
