Summary: The BD Executive is expected to build, track, and own his/her sales cycle from discovery through close (including the Sales to Service transition). The goal is to sell Excellis supply chain consulting services from strategy, into implementation, and through the sustainability phases. The target market is the extended pharmaceutical supply chain including manufacturers, wholesalers, CMOs, 3PLs, retail pharmacies, and health/hospital systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Lead Generation
Leverage existing relationships and networks to create and maintain pipeline of Net New leads
Develop personalized/customized Net New strategy based on individual strengths
Collaborate with marketing to personalize and promote custom lead generation campaigns
Collaborate with named Partners to discover and pursue new opportunities
Daily utilization of LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and SalesForce.com (SFDC)
Manage Net New Pipeline in SFDC
Sales Execution
Sell Value, not Price
Consistently convert warm leads into sales appointments
Plan Geo-centered Sales Trips to avoid one-off visits when possible
Lead Discovery Calls and On-Site Meetings to properly scope new opportunities
Log detailed notes and correspondences (emails, phone calls, meeting minutes, etc.) in SFDC
Carry appropriate sales through close and coordinate SME/Executive sales support when needed
Communicate, present, and influence effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive
and C-level
Develop, maintain, and execute on Account Plans to create a long-term Existing Business pipeline
Draft SOW to include scope and estimated hours, and work with Director and Executive SME to
finalize SOW
Lead final negotiations, facilitate contract/PO execution, and initiate Sales-to-Service hand off meetings
Close new deals by managing involved stakeholders and focusing on User Requirements, Business Requirements, and ROI.
Real-time Pipeline updates in SFDC

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Two (2) years Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) serialization experience
Five (5) years Business Development experience in consultative sales
Proficiency in SalesForce.com required
Proficiency in LinkedIn Sales Navigator preferred
Ability and willingness to travel as needed (25%-50%)
Thoroughly understands and utilizes technology (i.e. Microsoft Office 365 Suite)in
everyday performance
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
