Description:

Position Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This position will play a crucial role in executing business development initiatives aimed at driving growth and achieving our strategic plans. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with the marketing, sales, and product development teams to maintain and expand existing customer relationships while identifying and cultivating new customer partnerships aligned with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategies for establishing key partnerships with external providers to drive sales and product growth.
  • Identify and pursue prospective projects via research, cold calls, conferences, and online platforms.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients, working towards converting leads into business opportunities and contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clarity on negotiation outcomes, project expectations, and deliverables.
  • Work with finance teams to analyze project performance and refine proposals.
  • Coordinate with marketing on promotional activities, including advertising, media reviews, and sales initiatives.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with customers to anticipate needs and resolve potential issues.
  • Generate demand forecasts based on market trends and customer insights.
  • Prepare pricing proposals, credit terms, and sales contracts for new business.
  • Support upper management with deal negotiations, contract development, and business development initiatives.
  • Enter customer and sales data into the CRM system and ensure it's up-to-date.
  • Work closely with operations teams to coordinate product demos and customer training.
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to stay up to date with trends and competition.

Qualifications:
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to analyze and interpret business information, and proficient in CRM/Database software, project management software, and MS Office Suite.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate financial data such as discounts, commissions, and project pricing.
  • Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to analyze complex data and offer clear solutions.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel as required for client meetings, trade shows, and other business needs (overnight travel may be necessary).

Additional Requirements:
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role is highly preferred.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of driving business growth.

Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and use of hands for tasks like typing or handling materials.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.
