Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and implementing Corporate Executive Education Programs to meet the needs of the business community and executive education candidates
  • Cultivates relationships with business and political leaders locally, nationally, and internationally to raise awareness of executive education offerings
  • Creates and identifies opportunities to transition students from completed executive education programs into matriculated on-campus and online EMBA programs
  • Explores new partnerships internationally outside existing RIT relationships. Develops relationships and assists with the creation of proposals within the U.S. government sector.
  • Pursues and evaluates Corporate Capstone Projects for on-campus and online EMBA programs
  • Collaborates with the Executive Education Committee providing guidance with recruitment, the competitive environment, advertising and marketing, and operations issues related to executive education
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • Master's Degree
  • Minimum of four years of experience with recruitment or sales
  • This is a strategic position that requires a highly motivated individual who is confident, has high energy, and a proven record of ability to work independently while maintaining ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must
  • Must be able to effectively interact with key personnel at area business organizations, prospective EMBA students, EMBA alumni, university faculty and administration
  • Must have strong presentation skills with a bias toward selling
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as be an integral member of the EMBA staff
  • Writing, listening, organizational, and time management skills are important
  • Computer and Internet skills


Preferred Qualifications

It is preferred that the candidate possesses an MBA degree in an Executive MBA Program
Student advising as well as experience with outreach and networking with business professionals is desired.

Job Summary

The Saunders College of Business invites applications for the position of Business Development Manager - Executive Education. The Business Development Manager - Executive Education will be responsible for the development and delivery of various executive seminars/programs for working professionals including mid-career and executive-level working professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cultivating and collaborating with businesses and leaders to identify program needs. This position also contributes to oversight of all areas of the Executive MBA Program (on campus and online) including fostering and maintaining alumni relations for graduates of executive programs in the Saunders College of Business at RIT.
