Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $105,100 to $175,100 annually. The target range for this position is $125,000 to $145,000 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.
Scope of Job: This position is responsible for engaging with the renewable energy market and driving the team's success in new client acquisition, service offering development/refinement, deep market intelligence gathering, and brand ambassadorship. Developing and driving EDF Renewable Services strategy development and execution. And, accomplishing all duties with high degree of independence and in a fashion that is collaborative, supportive, and focused on making the people around you better.

Working Conditions: 70% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 30% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors' and/or internal customers' sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.

Responsibilities

- Identify, contact, establish, and grow relationships with external project developers, owners, financiers, support groups and investors to enable service contract execution.
- Develop dossiers/business arguments for specific deals/customers that balance long term and short term strategic and economic objectives to enable service contract execution, retention, and growth.
- Manage commercial responses associated with RFPs, bilateral, or internal development submissions to drive new deal/client acquisition, supporting exiting client opportunities on an as needed basis; all within a comprehensive team selling environment.
- Support formal negotiations with counter parties and enable all approval processes for contract execution.
- Fully map and understand the market and deep dive potential client's organization, incentives, structure, relationships, and expectations to aid in new client acquisition
- Capture, digest, and share strategic market insights and business intelligence to better our collective understanding of market price, scope, and T&Cs.
- Develop deep industry knowledge and contacts with a particular focus on understanding competitive landscape to effectively develop AO's product/service offerings.
- Provide timely and complete reporting on all relevant activities; capturing all relevant data in the appropriate database and/or templates to ensure there is full transparency on the health and function of the business.
- Promote a positive image in the renewable energy industry through thought leadership & demand generation activities (public speaking, webinars, authoring articles, trade show participation, etc.).
- Keep abreast of the company's vision, mission, values, and services, as well as the competitive landscape and be able to articulate the company's capabilities and service offerings effectively to team members and customers.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or other related field, advanced degree a plus.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Fluent in English, other languages (French, Spanish) a plus.
- 3-5 years direct B-to-B sales required, experience in the energy or industrial markets a plus.
- Previous experience within the renewable energy (wind, solar) field a plus.
- Demonstrated experience finding new business and converting it to projects/contracts for his/her employer.
- Demonstrated experience selling services in a long sales cycle.
- Bright, quick, articulate, excellent interpersonal skills, and able to adapt to different internal and external constituencies.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to prepare and deliver formal presentations to large groups, online and in person.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to relate to customers across all project lifecycle phases.
- Attention to detail, particularly while overseeing the written submissions for RFP's and RFQ's.
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills, including ability to negotiate and write preliminary drafts of contracts.
- Viewed as a team player who also possesses the independence of thought and opinion to provide candor and honesty when making key business decisions.
- Passionate about business results, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics, and ownership.
- Experience with CRM programs.
- Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, other Office products and Adobe skills.
