Our Teams work together across various sites, functions & scientific disciplines to help our customers bring their innovations to market with confidence.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support Antibody Solutions to include product lines such as immunohistochemistry, western blot, immunoprecipitation, ELISA, immunoassay co-development for kitted solution, and custom polyclonal or monoclonal antibody development. The Business Development Manager will act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and new business development accounts along the east coast. Building new opportunities and relationships within the respective territory to expand product sales within the Fortis molecular and molecular diagnostics portfolio. Responsibility would be to sell catalogue products and custom services with the life science market.

What You Will Do
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and new business development accounts within the Eastern North American Territory.
- Building new BD and sales opportunities within the respective territory to expand product sales across Antibody solutions portfolio and services into the RUO, IVD and OEM customer base.
- Understand and communicate the need for customer driven product customization for catalogue items, serum-derived antibodies, G-fraction derived antibodies and custom conjugation for bulk opportunities.
- Set customer guidelines and expectations on new product sample evaluations timelines to ensure in-quarter forecasting when available.
- Create customer quotes for bulk orders and customized orders.
- Understand unique market needs to build strategic action items that will expand company influence and expand product sales with the Fortis antibody portfolio.
- Report quarterly sales results and forecasts during quarterly business reviews.
- Use customer database to research account and sales history that will drive revenue growth in net new customer base and expansion within existing accounts.
- Sales funnel growth and management.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management, which may not be listed above, that are necessary to accomplish our goal of improving lives by supporting scientific discovery.
- Travel Required 50% of the time
Who You Are & What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Biology degree or science-related industry background.
- Proven track record with 3+ years of experience in technical sales in the life science industry.
- Technical sales background with life science focus is an additional preference.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Based in Boston
