Your role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, North America,
AsBusiness Development Manager, you will join the worldwide leading CDMO inSterile single dose (Blow-fil-seal) manufacturing. You will be in charge ofdeveloping the business in the US Market in accordance with the group's visionand strategy. You'll be in charge of driving the acquisition of new clientsthrough active prospection effort, while leveraging existing collaboration togrow the projects pipeline. Your relational, technical, and analytical skillswill allow you to develop sustainable relationships with senior-level clientleadership, while developing a deep understanding of the market structure,opportunities, and challenges.
Proactive and creative, you will collaborate with thedevelopment team to create solutions, and build proposals that meetpatient's, client's and market's challenges, while creatingsustainable value for the company.
Pipeline of New Business Opportunities
Actively identifies potential prospects and new business opportunity leads,utilizing defined business strategy contacts, current customer base, web siteinquiries, referrals, or "cold call" introductions.
Drives acquisition of new customers through direct consultative sellingefforts, with a focus on selling integrated product solutions to senior-levelcustomer leadership.
Assists the Business Development Director in gathering market intelligence tofeed the Business Development Strategy.
Coordinates the opportunity assessment, obtains the technical information fromthe customer, prepares the deal structure and conducts negotiations; preparesthe final contract; ensures adequate resources, support and responsiveness foreach opportunity.
Remains in contact with prospects after they have become customers to not onlyhave the ability to assist with resolving issues, but also to identifyadditional opportunities for the customer.
Maintains up-to-date information on key accounts.
Trusted Relationship with Key Targets
Builds and maintains strong relationships with decision-makers in key targetareas through developing a deep understanding of their business, providinginformation regarding market trends, and presenting creative ways those trendscould be addressed.
Provides new ideas for customers that can make money or save money - offeropportunities the customer hadn't realized even existed.
Creates and delivers presentations that effectively convey the company's valueproposition to key prospects.
HighValue Network
Establishes strong working relationships with internal stakeholders andcustomers to ensure timely responses to contract inquiries, quick turn aroundon bids, and smooth contract implementation.
Maintains a strong network of industry contacts in multiple functions;continually seeks competitive intelligence.
Actively participates in relevant industry meetings and conferences. Createsvisibility for Unither in Business Development circles and positions thecompany as a good business partner. Continually seeks new opportunities.
Relationaland analytical skills to build sustainable relationship with client, whileconstantly gaining understanding of the technological and marketing trends
Ability to drive contractual negotiations
Working knowledge of the complete manufacturing process in a pharmaceuticalenvironment including knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations
Demonstrates a low pressure, open and honest approach to influencing customers.
Strong scientific and regulatory understanding with the ability to grasp andcommunicate complex scientific principles.
Ability to develop solutions that are mutually beneficial to the client and toUnither
Comfort interacting with the highest levels of senior management both withinUnither and other organizations.
Blow-Fill-Seal knowledge is a plus

Your profile
Bachelor'sdegree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturingor development environment that would enable the incumbent to speak crediblywith customers about manufacturing processes, regulatory aspects and scientificmethods. Previous business development experience in a pharmaceuticalorganization required. Previous experience in a CMO a plus.
Compensation range
100 000,00 - 120 000,00 USD
*The referenced compensation range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
