As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in driving B2B sales for Berry Direct and Edible Brands company.
BerryDirect is not a typical 3PL or import company. Berry Direct provides unique end-to-end solutions for brand partners where we help design, develop, source, manufacture, import, customize, pick, pack, assemble, and fulfill durable & perishable consumer products to multiple destinations. You'll own the development and execution the business development strategy, positioning Berry Direct as a partner of choice, owning the end-to-end sales process.

Purpose:
As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in driving B2B sales for Berry Direct and Edible Brands company.

Responsibilities:
- Execute the full sales cycle from prospecting, lead generation, proposal writing, contract negotiation, to deal closure.
- Identify prospective clients through research, networking, and outbound initiatives
- Prepare and deliver customized presentations and proposals to effectively showcase the value of Berry Direct's products and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including our procurement, marketing, QC, finance, logistics & fulfillment team to ensure clients' requests on products and service are met with satisfaction
- Identify and research opportunities that come up in new and existing markets
- Set and track sales goals, create detailed performance reports for senior management, and adjust strategies to ensure targets are met.
- Actively participate in meetings with management team to optimize existing initiatives and align on future marketing & sales strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and client needs to adjust strategies accordingly and stay ahead in the industry.
- Attend industry events, tradeshows, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase brand visibility and identify new business prospects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven success in B2B sales, ideally in supply chain, logistics, packaging, gifting or similar service industries.
- Industry specific experience in consumer goods: home dcor, packaging, gifting industry or promotional products is highly desired
- Proven expertise in owning end to end sales cycle from prospecting and developing tailored outreach messages, managing negotiations, closing deals and nurturing partnerships longer-term
- Previous experience in roles where you've had to build sales processes, organize sales systems, or other sales infrastructure from the ground up.
- Experience in environments with minimal structure or initial resources is helpful
