The Fireplace Business Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of business objectives among their company's sales, marketing and operational employees.
Essential Functions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Rio Grande Co.'s market presence and drive revenue growth.
- Maintain current client relationship and identify areas for potential clients.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Represent Rio Grande Co. at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand and build networks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.
- Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
- Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
- Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales and operations.
- Develop new sales areas and improve sales through various methods.
- Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business.
- Collaborate with sales and design team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
- Train junior salespeople to improve sales goals and meet expectations.
- Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Knowledge of fireplace, construction, and/or building industry
- Ability to drive a standard vehicle
Working Conditions
