Role Summary:

Our footprint continues to grow and expand beyond the Lakeshore area. To continue building stronger relationships in the greater Grand Rapids market, we are expanding our business development team. From forging new relationships to strengthening existing partnerships to increasing visibility in key networks and organizations, your passion for people and drive for excellence will be a catalyst for growth.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead Generation
  • Identify and qualify potential leads through networking, cold calling, industry events, and online research.
  • Develop strategies to reach target clients and generate new business opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track and manage leads and client interactions.
  • Interact closely with Lakewood's Marketing team to develop and implement targeted business development strategies to generate leads and convert them into contracts.
  • Relationship Building & Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, and lead sources.
  • Schedule and conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their project requirements.
  • Industry Networking & Representation
  • Represent Lakewood at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Build a strong professional network within the commercial construction industry.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.


  • Qualifications
    • Strong understanding of the construction process
    • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels.
    • Proficient in CRM software.
    • Ability to work independently
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
    • A self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities.


    Education and Experience:
    • 3-5+ years minimum of business development / sales experience.
    • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and securing new business opportunities.
