The Business Development Manager is responsible for bringing in new project opportunities; building and maintaining industry relationships with architecture/design firms, landlord and tenant rep brokers, project management firms, building managers and direct clients/end users. This individual has an extensive understanding of the market and players in their region as well as knowledge on the various markets and industries in which Clune operates. They work closely with the company project teams, management and marketing departments to assist in securing work with the ultimate goal of reaching company annual revenue targets.

Essential Functions:
Maintain thorough knowledge of the office-specific market, Clune business practices and what the commercial construction industry does and actively participate in an industry leads sharing group.
Responsible for Client Relationship Management and New Business Development.
Participate and have active involvement in industry-related professional organizations and charity committees and attend industry events, conferences and networking events.
Provide Internal Company Support to BD Department, Team Leaders, Superintendents, Project Managers and all management as it is related to the company's existing/new business development, operational functions and revenue goals.
Collaborate with the Marketing Department including but not limited to: assistance with the creation of collateral, presentations, proposals, reports and other marketing materials as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager mentors, provides guidance, and supervises the Business Development Team including completion of performance reviews and disciplinary action if applicable.

Job Requirements:
Good prospecting skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, pipeline management, database expertise, and professionalism
Knowledge of commercial construction industry with established network of existing real estate, design, construction and various client contacts preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software (and knowledge of a CRM database a plus)
Ethical in approach to maximize sales opportunities and uncover new business

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Sales/Marketing, Communications, Business, Real Estate or Construction Management
8+ years of experience in the construction, real estate, architecture, or engineering industry preferred
