SCOPE OF THE JOB

A leading contract manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Business Development / Sales Manager. The focus of this role is to drive B2B client acquisition and revenue growth across North America. The candidate must have a proven track record in the contract manufacturing industry, with expertise in securing new clients for outsourced manufacturing services in the wellness industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and secure B2B clients across industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, nutritional products, supplements) that require contract manufacturing services.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
  • Market Research: Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to position the company for competitive advantage.
  • Lead Generation: Actively network, participate in tradeshows, and leverage existing contacts to generate leads and new business opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy: Create and implement a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue goals through client acquisition and account expansion.
  • Proposal Development: Craft and present customized proposals aligned with client manufacturing needs and the company's capabilities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution of client projects.
  • Reporting: Track sales activities and market insights to adjust strategies and meet performance targets.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with product formulation and manufacturing technologies in the nutritional supplement industry
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM tools to manage sales activities and customer relationships.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the contract manufacturing industry.
  • B2B Expertise: Proven success in acquiring and managing B2B clients, particularly in industries requiring contract manufacturing.
  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of contract manufacturing processes, including regulatory compliance and production timelines in the nutritional space.
  • Network: Extensive network within the nutritional and supplement industry that can be leveraged for business growth.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and tailor solutions based on specific client needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
