We're seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to take on a reimagined role that blends key account management, strategic market expansion, and team building to drive our growth in Canada. This is more than just account management-it's about owning and expanding relationships with our largest customers, identifying opportunities to increase market share, and developing the strategy to scale our presence. What you will do:
  • Proactively seek out and identify new business opportunities to drive growth and expand our market presence.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with customers and partners to foster loyalty and long-term collaboration.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to align strategies and ensure the successful execution of business development initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Set and achieve sales targets and objectives, driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Develop and present compelling business proposals and presentations to potential clients and partner.
  • Prepare and present a 2-3-year strategic growth plan for the tesa Canada organization including investment requirements.

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field - or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and building teams.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian market and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skilled and proficient in use of computers to include but not limited to Microsoft products-Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint-as well as ability to use Customer Relationship Management software programs.
  • Ability and willingness to adapt your work schedule to satisfy customer needs. Must be available for air/auto travel up to 50% of the time.
