Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager within our Aerospace & Defense business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for pursuing & closing sales opportunities within accounts in order to meet & exceed their assigned budget. You will also be responsible for prospecting & developing new business opportunities outside of your assigned list. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive mentality, be action oriented, customer focused, and have an entrepreneurial drive.

Responsibilities
Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements; helps develop & negotiate proposals including terms and conditions
Achieve sales goals by converting, retaining and penetrating assigned accounts
Establish and proactively maintain a strong professional relationship with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts
Drive new logos and re-engage with dormant accounts
Gather and analyze market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to determine customer needs
Follow up in a timely manner on quotations for the assigned customer base
Build and maintain a working knowledge of Element's service offerings; participate in training/coaching opportunities

Skills / Qualifications
5+ years of technical and/or sales experience
Business development experience with companies within the aerospace, defense, or other industrial applications
Good communication, interpersonal and listening skills
Professional, high standards in personal presentation
Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time
