The Braemac/Symmetry Business Development Manager is responsible for developing segment strategies and customer targets, assisting in collaborative supplier segment initiatives, and expanding our processor/embedded compute engagements in the Americas. Responsibilities include three primary objectives: creating sales targets, guiding sales team to grow our processor/embedded compute revenue, and working with suppliers to enable growth.
Braemac is an electronic component distributor within the TTI Family of Specialists. This is a remote position; the ideal candidate will be located in one of the following markets: Boston, DFW, Chicago, Minneapolis, Phoenix, San Jose or So Cal.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist in the development of customer segments and technologies by working with the sales team to develop comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth goals.
Assist and facilitate formal compute program in partnership with the Braemac/Symmetry Sales team.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and revenue streams.
Identify potential markets for expansion and develop entry strategies. Conduct market research to assess the feasibility of entering new segments or geographical areas.
Position and promote Braemac/Symmetry's products with suppliers, customers, and other industry representatives so that Symmetry is considered the preferred partner for suppliers, the preferred choice of products for customers and the best distributor for which to work in the industry.
Facilitate training programs to educate the personnel on specific details concerning targeted customers and/or on products for the Segment market.
Assist in the negotiations for products, services and suppliers during the quote process, in an effort to offer the best deal for the customer and win the business.
Drive tracking and updating sales opportunities in region, customer visit reports and contributing to forecasts. Collaborate with sales to update notes/data/partners, e.g. production location, to add value to the data we have in order to benefit the sales effort, supplier relationships and provide information regarding opportunity progression.
Maintain market awareness on competitor activities, industry trends and new concepts by reading industry periodicals, networking, attending periodic update training events and trade shows which will ensure that the rep current on industry knowledge to aid in making informed decisions and adding value.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Degree from four-year university with Engineering background preferred, with a minimum of five years' experience working with processors, controllers, embedded compute product, is required.

Total Annual Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000/year. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.

- Knowledge and understanding of sales, purchasing, operations, systems, vendors, product and branch operations.
- Exhibit strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and presentations.
- Present complex topics effectively to branch sales and senior management.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret business journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
- Ability to travel up to 30% required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level preferred.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license, safe driving record and be insurable by the Companies' liability carrier.
