JOB OVERVIEW
Business Development will be responsible for identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical sector. You will collaborate closely with our Data Management, Data Science, IT Services and Biometrics teams to tailor solutions that address the unique challenges faced by pharmaceutical companies. Your ability to understand the intricacies of data-driven research and translate them into compelling value propositions will be critical to your success.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with management to identify target customers, markets, and services that align with our Data Management, Data Science, Business IT Consulting and Biometrics teams.
Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within Account and develop in-depth knowledge of the customer organization.
Pursue awareness of competitive activities, positioning and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-awards.
Identify and respond to customer needs in order to define potential opportunities.
Propose appropriate strategy/solution to customer.
Maintain high visibility within customer organization.
Identify new contact leads for potential business
Analyze industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform business development strategies.
Collaborate with Commercial Operations to create, draft, review and process a variety of commercial agreements, such as CDAs, MSAs, SOWs, COs and Vendor Agreements.
Educate clients on our offerings in as Business Consulting for IT and deliver teams, Function Services Provider, Standalone service within the Data Sciences domain.
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our services.
Maintain an advanced technical understanding of our service offerings.
Translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Computer Science, Business).
5+ years' experience in business development and/or equivalent sales role
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
Superior communication skills including presentations, documentation, relationship building, negotiations and close deals.
Ability to convincingly present features and benefits of service to clients
Excellent communication skills with a high degree of professionalism
PREFERRED SKILLS
Ability to work independently and as a team player.
Excellent skills using Microsoft Office Suite: MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organization skills and detailed oriented
Must have exceptional writing skills.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to effectively prioritize workload and deliverables
