GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making, improve the design, acquisition, and usage of our financial products and services, and support enhanced revenue, competitiveness, and market share.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop new enterprise business intelligence (BI) service offerings, content creation, and value propositions to support and improve business processes.
  • Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery.
  • Collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Provide ongoing development and maintenance of an operational data store and enterprise data warehouse using BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques.
  • Provide interactive real-time dashboards and key performance indicators using, for example, Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, SAP Crystal Reports, or other newly identified BI tools.
  • Maintain data pipelines that support AI (Artificial Intelligence) capacity within the credit union.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
  • Generate and deliver clear, concise, and actionable data reports and presentations to stakeholders, including but not limited to KPIs, conversion rates, website and social media engagement, and other marketing and business-wide analytics as needed.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous quality control procedures.
  • Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports.
  • Provide end-user support and encourage user adoption. Act as Tier 1 support for end-users of BI tools. Train end-users on basic functionality. Direct users to training material and available resources.
  • Responsible for converting business requirements and high-level data collection needs into well-specified analyses, reporting and visualizations.


Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Market Research, or a related field.
  • Background in finance service marketing strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Data / Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst or similar role in the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience with the credit union core systems (e.g., Keystone, DNA), MCIF (Marketing Customer Information File), and CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of credit union operations and financial products preferred.


* Salary Range: Exempt; $78,536.16 - $117,804.25
