Business Intelligence Engineer

Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000

The base salary listed is a range. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a bonus, providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation.

Position Summary

As a Business Intelligence Engineer at Zinpro, you'll have the opportunity to partner with stakeholders across the business, IT, and third-party consulting firms to design, build, support, and maintain cutting-edge business intelligence and analytics solutions. Essential Functions

• Design, develop, maintain, and update key business intelligence applications for Zinpro employees, including ETL processes, data models, and reporting/presentation layers.
• Collaborate with business users and IT analysts to accurately understand and meet business needs.
• Identify and source correct data by partnering with other IT analysts and developers.
• Ensure data quality through rigorous testing and error handling.
• Transform complex data into innovative visual formats to improve clarity.
• Coordinate and deliver release milestones for BI applications.
• Support ad hoc analysis inquiries, and data pulls to assist business users.
• Implement process improvements such as automation, query optimization, and model optimization.
• Perform assigned projects and functions as directed by the Senior Manager of IT Business Applications.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information technology, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience leveraging ETL tools to load a data warehouse or create a data store
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases and data warehouses,
• 2+ years of experience with an enterprise analytics platform.
• Familiarity with both Cloud and On-Prem BI architectures.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues within the position's responsibilities.
• A genuine passion for data!

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, or SAP Business Objects.
• Snowflake experience.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data. SAP understanding is a plus
• Experience working in a team-based collaborative environment with strong communication and multi-tasking skills focusing on efficiency.
• Familiarity with project and change management principles.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The work environment characteristics are those consistent with a standard office environment. Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Schedule Requirements

The Business Intelligence Engineer is a hybrid position expected to work within core business hours. This position requires a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.

Provide third-level technical support for critical incidents while working with colleagues and service providers as required.

Travel Requirements:

This position is expected to travel infrequently, primarily for conferences or training as needed, or Zinpro manufacturing facilities within a 4-hour radius of Zinpro corporate HQ.
