Summary of Responsibilities:
The business intelligence manager will lead Avenue5's business intelligence strategy including the implementation and management of key business intelligence platforms. This position is also responsible for managing the yearly property budgeting process.
Primary Responsibilities and Objectives:
Manage a team of data analysts and training resources specifically for business intelligence platforms and property performance initiatives
Present data and insights to the executive team on property portfolio and corporate performance including:
Managing the information-gathering process, including liaising with internal groups to collect and organize data, and analyze responses for quality
Identifying data audit trends for property and business intelligence data
Identifying and collating key metrics and trends for client strategy initiatives
Management of Avenue5's yearly property budgeting process including:
Collating property budget assumptions by liaising with key department heads
Delivering yearly training program(s)
New properties integrating into Avenue5
Reviewing feedback to improve future processes
Lead the development of metrics and reports as needed
Lead the creation of performance and business intelligence training including measurement of participation
Assist with the corporate budget process, as needed
Collaborate with regional leaders to design and implement KPI reporting
Participate in operations reviews with the leadership team when necessary
Create case studies demonstrating property performance improvement for RFP inclusion
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree is required
Five or more years of property management experience is required
Experience as a property manager or equivalent is preferred
Two or three years of experience in Yardi Voyager, RealPage, or other equivalent system is preferred
Skills and Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, and highly proficient in Excel, with the capacity to utilize formulas, pivot tables, etc.
Sensitivity to confidential matters is required
Strong management skills and ability to manage a team including remote working associates
Advanced organizational and analytical skills and proficiency in working with large data sets
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively and sensitively communicate with all levels of management
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Passionate about using technology to create efficiencies and generate ROI
Attention to detail, team player, and self-sufficient
Flexible and adaptable, with a strong ability to pivot quickly when the need arises
Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses if assigned
Scheduling:
Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working overtime, weekends, and non-traditional holidays
Travel may be required
Environment:
Exposure to an environment typically found in an office building
