Description:
The Business Resiliency Lead is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and executing the organization's business continuity strategy. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to prepare for, respond to, and recover from unforeseen events that threaten the organization's lines of business, operations, reputation, regulatory standing or stakeholders.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (List in descending order of importance the essential duties and responsibilities which are necessary to accomplish the primary function. Indicate the percentage of time spent on each task, only listing activities that account for greater than 5 percent of time.)
1. Own and conduct the Enterprise Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and assist business leaders in determining business processes and identifying criticality, recovery time objectives (RTO), recovery point objectives (RPO), maximum tolerable downtimes (MTD) and map critical dependencies.
2. Conduct business continuity risk assessment for the enterprise, analyzing potential business impact of unpredictable business interruptions such as natural disasters, security breach, legal claims, and market disruptions
3. Develops and maintains business continuity plans; reviews, revises, and expands existing protocols (call tree, recovery team, contact information, alternate site requirements, roles and responsibilities, scenario procedures, etc.)
4. Coordinates with 3rd party vendor relationship managers to establish, document, and test 3rd party contingency plans, resolution plans and coordinates testing and performance management.
5. Perform 3rd party vendor reviews for onboarding requirements, annual assessments, service level agreements, contingency plans and identify risks to Valley.
6. Establish BC testing methodologies; schedule & coordinate the exercises with recovery support and technical services groups. Testing to include Alternate Site Testing, Table-Tops, Call Tree Testing, 3rd Party Testing.
7. Facilitate BC exercises for business units, applications, systems, and platforms; coordinate the post-exercise evaluation & follow-up process, including status reporting, issue tracking and improvement recommendations.
8. Contributes to the development of the Bank's enterprise incident and crisis management plans.
9. Provide complex project management skills coordinating, assessing, improving & communicating recovery environment requirements associated with IT current, in plan & new activities, to appropriate management & technology groups, resulting in recommendations to enable timely, effective decisions regarding alternate site hardware/software recovery planning.
10. Regularly interact with various technology support group management & staff for the purpose of planning, directing, controlling and maintaining Valley's recovery planning documentation and alternate site exercise & validation program.
11. Assemble inventory of alternate site requirements (files, computer systems, applications, etc.), components essential for alternate site processing and operations.
12. Identify, review & verify all resources and critical documents; ensure that information is current and compiled in business continuity planning documentation.
13. Participate in and lead, as required, BC meetings, workshops and other related enterprise resiliency project activities.
14. Work with all business units to ensure that as new equipment, facilities, services and systems are installed that business continuity is addressed.
15. Provide 7X24, on-call support for any emergency which may require activation of all or part of the Business Recovery or Disaster Recovery plans.
16. Participate in internal and external audits related to the Enterprise Resiliency Program or Enterprise Resiliency related capabilities.
17. Participate in internal and external audits related to the BC/DR Program or Enterprise Resiliency related capabilities.

Supporting workplace resilience initiatives by working with multiple stakeholders to include Enterprise Resilience, Technology, Workplace Solutions and Fusion Team. Liaison with support teams to implement the enterprise resiliency strategy. Backup the Enterprise Resiliency- Business Continuity Team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA): (List the minimum KSA's required for job performance, including the type and amount of KSA, and indicate the specific application for each KSA.)
1. 8+ years of experience developing, implementing and managing business continuity programs for financial institutions.
2. Thorough knowledge & understanding of FFIEC's Business Continuity Management framework.
3. Strong background in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Operational Resiliency knowledge
4. Strong written & verbal communications skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management.
5. Strong background and understanding of US Financial Institutions key functions, processes and resources.
6. Proficient in MSOffice Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project Management applications).
7. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
8. Comply with all policies and procedures established by the bank to conform to regulatory agencies.
9. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
11. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Financial Industry or Banking background.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Financial Industry or Banking background.
