Salary range for this position is $82,800 - $107,650 and is commensurate with prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.

Essential Functions:
- Assist with oversight of the district's accounting system (WUFAR and Skyward).
- Coordinate and implement new ways to expand the use of the district's financial/payroll/human resource software.
- Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Operations & Human Resources coordinate the development and implementation of the Annual Budget and review process.
- Assist with preparing for the Annual Meeting.
- Direct completion of the District's Annual Audit preparation in accordance with law and Board policy.
- Monitor assigned grants to ensure compliance with the funding agency and work with appropriate personnel to submit new grant proposals. Submit quarterly claims for grants to the appropriate governing agency.
- Provide assistance with long-term financial forecasting and planning to guide Board policy development, present appropriate recommendations, and ensure proper delegation of personnel and resources.
- Oversee accurate and timely completion of all required DPI State Reporting for the Business Services department.
- Prepare Monthly Financial Reports and assist with monitoring the Budget in accordance with the approved District Budget and Board Policy.
- Assist with the development of requests for quotes or bids.
- Assist in negotiating district contracts on an annual basis and maintain relationships with district vendors.
- Monitor, assess, and review the contractual obligations with each vendor.
- Review of district-wide purchases and account coding.
3. Transportation
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the routing, scheduling and daily transportation services with the district's contractors. Direct and advise contractors regarding student transportation operations and contractual obligations.
- Monitor and assess all aspects of transportation services are completed within regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the development of a 5-year maintenance plan for the district; including analyzing financial impacts of school facility maintenance and new construction projects.
- Assist in the coordination of District sustainability efforts.
- Assist with the School Safety plan and serve on the School Safety Committee.
- Assist with student enrollment tracking and present future projections for the district's enrollment.
- Assist the Director of Business Services with the coordination of Open Enrollment.
- Assist with the oversight of the District risk management programming to ensure adequate liability coverage and protection for the school district, members of the School Board, employees, and school district property.
- Oversee and assist Technology Department on Erate reporting and bidding.
- Assist with the review of process and procedures to ensure compliance with DPI, IRS and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide assistance in development of procedures and processes that reflect the District's commitment to continuous improvement.
- Serve as an additional resource to the Business Services Staff such as payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
- Assist with providing necessary training and support for Business Services staff and to personnel district-wide.
Qualifications:
Experience and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field required. Master's degree in School Business Administration, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred.
- Three to five years' experience administering governmental financial affairs, accounting, budgeting, and school district support services required.
- School Business Manager Certification (WI DPI 08) through the Wisconsin Department of Instruction or willingness to obtain a license preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of school business management.
- Knowledge of budget management practices.
- Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with colleagues and stakeholders of the District.
- Ability to meet predetermined deadlines and exercise flexibility by shifting to new tasks when priorities change.
- Ability to keep information confidential and maintain an ethical attitude.
- Ability to work cooperatively with employees, other agencies, and the public.
