Job Description:
As a Business System Analyst, you will work closely with agile software development teams to gather, define, and manage business requirements, use cases, and system specifications. Your focus will include UI/UX considerations, end-to-end requirement lifecycle management, and user acceptance testing. You will facilitate sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts to support the successful delivery of solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with agile delivery teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to define, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to gather detailed user requirements and business processes.
  • Develop and maintain use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and system design documentation.
  • Create business process models and data flow diagrams using tools like Visio or Draw.io.
  • Translate requirements into UAT test scripts and support UAT testing efforts.
  • Track requirements throughout the SDLC to ensure alignment with project goals and delivery milestones.
  • Identify and document risks, recommending mitigation actions.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, maintaining stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, consistent, and adheres to client standards.
  • Support the design and validation of UI/UX requirements within applications.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting medium to large-scale projects.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Proficient in documenting business processes and creating supporting diagrams.
  • Skilled in writing and executing UAT scripts, and supporting UAT processes.
  • Experienced in managing project risks and maintaining traceability throughout the SDLC.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Visio, Draw.io, Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong client-facing capabilities.
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate multiple solutions logically.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe certifications.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
