Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst provides comprehensive support and improvement strategies for business systems, enhancing operational efficiency. This includes application support, leading system analysis, requirement gathering, and process optimization initiatives across multiple business functions. Modeling Vestis' Mission and Values, this role will demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, independently managing projects to optimize business systems and processes. This role reports to the Business Systems Manager.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Analyze business processes and design future state workflows, including identifying application improvements and support needs.
  • Facilitate change management and process adjustments, integrating application support and bug resolution to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Lead gap identification and solution design efforts, leveraging insights from application support cases to drive system enhancements.
  • Document functional requirements and design customizations/extensions, ensuring they address identified bugs and support application development.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans for system configurations and enhancements, prioritizing application stability and user-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate on technical plans and support system development, using application feedback to guide use cases and design specifications for bug fixes and new features.
  • Supporting the goals of the company's technological alignment efforts
  • Seeking out and implementing continuous process improvement opportunities
  • Supporting internal communications related to business improvements and processes, system upgrades, and enhancements
  • Build and sustain working relationships with all Vestis functional areas

  • Overseeing appropriate vendor relationships related to associated technologies, services, and solutions needed to operate enterprise functions
  • Ensuring accurate and efficient governance policy development and adherence
  • Report on statuses when requested
  • Submit all time and expense reporting procedures accurately and timely
  • Maintain good standing and completion on all compliance related matters (i.e., assigned mandatory trainings, actions required from audits, corporate policies, etc.)
  • Perform all additional duties and responsibilities based on the direction and guidance of supervisor


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of route accounting systems or other ERP systems, including their configuration, optimization, and how they integrate with other business systems to support operational efficiency.
  • Strong skills in SQL for querying, analysing, and managing data within relational database systems. Understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices to support business analytics and reporting needs.
  • Proficient in leading and executing projects using both agile and traditional methodologies, ensuring timely delivery aligned with business objectives.
  • Skilled and proficient in MS Office O365 suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Communications Tools, etc.)
  • Ability to operate with a customer-centric service approach
  • Ability to establish performance-based relationships with 3rd party vendors and technology providers and versed in setting standards and measurements for IT processes
  • Ability to effectively define a business case, determine return on investment, and measure achievement of the case over time
  • Ability to manage and work on multiple concurrent deliverables at various stages of development and completion
  • Strong collaboration and team-building skills with the ability to create consensus around decisions and mitigate conflicts among teams

Working Environment/Safety Requirements:

Ensure necessary working environment and capabilities to effectively carry out responsibilities if working from a non-Vestis location (remote work)

  • Ability and willingness to handle work related issues during all hours of the day, every day of the week, understanding the responsibility of our organization's requirement for 24/7 production support
  • Ability, willingness, and flexibility to travel as needed for approved work purposes in accordance with project and management schedules


Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated hands-on experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting ERP or Route Accounting software.
  • Use of Mobile Device Management software.
  • Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with the use of Project Management methodologies and tools
  • Bachelor and/or Master's degree preferred but not required
  • Be legally able to work in the United States: U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident


License Requirements/Certifications:

  • Valid U.S. drivers license (for rental cars when applicable)

Compensation: The salary rate for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
