Summary of Job (brief description)

We are seeking an entry-level Business Systems Coordinator to support our business-critical systems, IT governance, and compliance initiatives. This individual will play a key role in system administration, IT operations, and cybersecurity training while working closely with our IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) and cross-functional teams to ensure the efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • System Administration & IT Support
    • Serve as a system administrator for critical business applications.
    • Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
    • Work with the IT MSP to ensure timely handling of IT support tickets and system issues.
    • Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
  • IT Governance & Compliance
    • Support the company's SOX compliance efforts.
    • Assist in vendor risk assessments and third-party security evaluations.
    • Document and track IT controls, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Cybersecurity & Risk Management
    • Assist in security awareness training, including phishing simulations. Work with IT MSP to monitor security logs and escalate concerns.
    • Assist in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) planning.
  • IT Roadmap & Strategic Initiatives
    • Support the execution of the 2025 IT Roadmap, collaborating with the Business Systems Manager and CFO.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in IT workflows.
    • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new business applications and integrations.
    • Document and track IT project milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • User Training & Change Management
    • Conduct trainings on cybersecurity, risk compliance, disaster recovery, and IT policies.
    • Assist with onboarding new employees, ensuring they understand company IT systems and security practices.
    • Maintain and update training materials and IT knowledge base.
  • Business Intelligence & Reporting
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into IT metrics.
    • Support data governance initiatives to ensure data integrity across business systems.
    • Assist the CFO and leadership team with ad-hoc data analysis related to IT infrastructure.


Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (highly preferred but not
    • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or business systems analysis.
    • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk) is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic understanding of IT systems, including SaaS applications, authentication, networking, and security policies.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Okta, or other identity management tools.
    • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, etc.) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
    • Strong attention to detail, particularly in compliance and IT governance work.
    • Collaborative mindset for working with IT MSPs, finance, and business users.


Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000

(Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the location where this position may be filled.)
