Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in New Holland, PA or Mt. Joy, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be an experienced C Software Engineer joining our Vehicle Electronics (VE) team. This role will involve working closely with design and system engineers to develop and test embedded software for automotive systems. You will contribute to the development and deployment of critical software components while ensuring that deadlines, quality, and performance expectations are met. Duties:
- Collaborate with design and system engineers to understand system and software requirements and ensure software design aligns with project goals.
- Develop high-quality embedded C software, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Perform unit testing of software code using Unity and collaborate with the team to identify and fix defects.
- Ensure all software deadlines are met for coding, debugging, and defect resolution.
- Support the installation and integration of software on vehicles, performing runoff, testing, and debugging activities as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work closely with the team to define and implement software testing needs for field tests, lab tests, and other relevant testing phases.
- Travel to the field to support testing and troubleshooting, as necessary, to ensure the software meets performance and functional requirements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in embedded C software development.
- Solid understanding of embedded systems, software architecture, and development tools.
- Proficient in Unity for unit testing and debugging.
- Strong experience in software development, debugging, and defect resolution within automotive or similar embedded systems environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience in Agriculture Software Development is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAN (Controller Area Network) bus for in-vehicle communication.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink for modeling and simulation is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel to the field as needed to support vehicle testing and integration activities.
