Description:
Hillsborough Area Transit (HART) is seeking a creative, highly motivated individual, to serve as Computer Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Locator (CAD/AVL) Integration Specialist. The CAD/AVL Integration Specialist will serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for HART throughout the entire lifecycle of the CAD/AVL installation and implementation project. This position will provide critical support to the Project Management Office (PMO) during the project and will ensure the distribution of key deliverables and milestones outlined as part of HART's agreement with the CAD/AVL vendors. Additionally, this position will collaborate closely with various departments to facilitate a seamless installation and integration of the new CAD/AVL systems, while simultaneously overseeing the migration from an Analog Radio Communication System to the County-wide P25 Communication System. This dual effort will require expertise in both systems to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations.
The CAD/AVL Integration Specialist is responsible for a wide range of activities, including but not limited to review and assessment of vendor technical documentation, system architecture, interface specifications, and deliverables for accuracy and compliance with contract requirements; validation of system configurations, software updates, integration points, and deliverables before implementation; review integration requirements and confirm compatibility between CAD/AVL systems and other agency platforms.
Candidate must demonstrate familiarity with system integration principles, including API interactions, and data exchanges between platforms; understanding of CAD/AVL technologies, communications, and multi-system integration; ability to interpret and review technical documents, schematics, and software configurations to ensure accuracy and contract compliance; ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.
Education and Experience:
Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.
- Technical expertise in CAD/AVL systems, including multi-system integration, county radio communications, and software testing.
- Experience with system integration between CAD/AVL platforms, fare collection, county radio communications, and real-time passenger information,
- Experience coordinating with vendors, IT teams, maintenance, operations, finance and planning teams to support implementation and troubleshooting efforts.
- Preferred experience in transit-specific software platforms.
Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00
