Job Summary:
The CANES Equipment Technician will provide Integrated Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) technical support services to support Command, Control, and Intelligence (C2I) efforts. The CANES Equipment Technician will also provide technical support, system testing, inspections and assessments to assess, inspect, and correct system faults within all variants of CANES AN/USQ-208, including associated equipment. Responsibilities:
Identify and correct anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems within all variants of CANES AN/USQ-208.
Provide onboard maintenance training to ship's force technicians in the operation, repair, maintenance and logistics support of CANES. Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the troubleshooting, assessment, and repair of the following systems (experience within the last 3 years): AN/USQ-208 CANES. Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and assessment on the following systems/equipment, is desired (but not required):
SABI/TSABI RADMERC
Blade Centers
VTC
Networker Backup Solution
Video Distribution System Experience gained at a Mobile Technical Unit (MOTU), Fleet Technical Support Center (FTSC) or Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), desired.
