Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Drive process development and improvement related to canning including related tooling and equipment.
- Ensure the deployment and improvement of process standards and best practices related to canning and big diameter tube lines.
- Support new tooling design review with corporate business unit manufacturing engineering team.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing tooling considering product interface with the product.
- Ensure manufacturing feasibility before program launch, working with the business unit and manufacturing engineering to design the appropriate flow diagram of the process.
- Troubleshoot, develop, evaluate, and improve canning process (60%).
- Assist in tool, fixture, and material flow and continuous improvements for those areas (20%).
- Train associates working on equipment (10%)
- Recommend modifications to reduce downtime (10%).
- Overseeing all operations for the Kirschenhofer and Weil machines.
Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
- Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all EETAM polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirement Profile:
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum five years' experience in automotive field with canning experience
- Minimum three years' experience with exhaust/welding.
- Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Technical Expertise:
- Knowledgeable of welding and metal forming techniques and processes.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
- Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures
