Capital Planning Analyst Responsibilities
- Apply the theories and principles of science, engineering, and mathematics to focus on improving engineering process and ensuring that the rapidly growing infrastructure operates efficiently.
- Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows and other process engineering data to understand methods that are applied in the operations process.
- Validate and perform qualification protocols for new or modified manufacturing processes, systems, and/ or equipment for production of products.
- Apply his engineering background to implement and help drive process automation and standardization.
- Focus on developing best practices for data aggregation, developing analytical models and dashboards.
- Support the financial planning and reporting of Facebook's global data center cost and schedule program, as well as lead the preparation and presentation of materials to key stakeholders.
- Evolve the data center cost program through driving process improvements and automation efficiencies around planning, reporting, and ongoing communications to key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field and one year of experience in job offered or in a business-related or quantitative occupation.
- Experience must include one year of experience of the following:
- 1. Developing metrics and processes to drive accuracy in planning, and providing insight to stakeholders and leadership decision-making
- 2. Driving decision-making and prioritization for the business through analyzing data, identifying trends, and developing best practices, using Tableau and SQL
- 3. Enable business scaling and efficiency through data-driven insights and process improvements in alignment with cross-functional stakeholders
- 4. Conveying a data-driven story to technical and non-technical audiences around key business insights, in collaboration with cross-functional partners
- 5. Leading cross-functional leadership coordination meetings to ensure on time project delivery and change management
- 6. Identifying opportunities to improve and scale tooling platforms around costs and schedule through process engineering solutions
- 7. Utilizing engineering background to liaise with construction and design engineers to understand data center project requirements and drive improvements
- 8. Analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions and reporting results across diverse technical and non-technical groups
- 9. Detailed understanding of large construction projects and the ability to communicate with construction personnel and design engineers in order to report to leadership team and
- 10. Understanding complex process flow and building designs in order to liaise with non-technical stakeholders & team.
