Summary
Are you ready for an exciting temporary opportunity with the Capital Division? We're hiring a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) as a Capital Portfolio Planning and Analysis Manager (Strategic Planning Manager I) to lead Metro's capital portfolio management systems and the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction of Metro's capital investments, ensuring they align with our mission and values. You'll be at the helm of critical processes that impact the way we serve our community every day.
What You'll Do:
This Special Duty Assignment is anticipated to last for six months, with the potential for extension. Additionally, this recruitment process will establish an eligibility pool for SDA vacancies that may arise within the classification and the Capital Division. The eligibility pool will be valid for 12 months from its creation and may be utilized or extended at the discretion of the hiring manager.

Telecommuting Requirement:
This is a hybrid position, with work performed both remotely and onsite at various King County facilities. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and are required to maintain a workspace with a reliable internet connection, allowing them to perform their duties effectively and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance of their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. There will be situations where the employee is required to report to a county worksite.
Work Schedule:
Our regular business hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. However, work outside of these hours may occasionally be required. Alternative work schedules may be considered. This position is Exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and therefore not eligible for overtime pay.
