Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Department Chair to join our established and growing employed practice in Prescott, AZ.
The Department Chair is responsible for delivering outstanding patient care as well as administrative leadership and oversight for the department and clinical specialty subsections.The Department Chair will commit to clinical work as a 0.8 FTE and a 0.2 administrative FTE.

Responsibilities
- Conducts clinical, administrative and quality oversight of YRMG cardiology providers within the Department.
- Commitment to clinical work as a 0.8 FTE and 0.2 administrative FTE.
- Establishes standards and protocols for evidence-based cardiovascular medicine within the Department.
- Determines the immediate, intermediate and long-term goals for the Cardiology Department in alignment with Department strategy.
- Conducts annual performance reviews of cardiology providers and supports their professional development.
- Works with YRMG chief medical officer to continuously improve cardiovascular quality and patient experience.
- Models leadership traits to section chiefs and all practitioners within the Cardiology Department.
- Commitment to participate in leadership development programs provided by YRMG and CommonSpirit Health.
- Commitment to building and leading highly effective cardiology teams.
- Participates in YRMG and medical staff committees and serves as a voting member of the Yavapai Regional Medical Group Leadership Council as required by the Chief Medical Officer.
- Ongoing commitment to continuing medical education and professional development of cardiology providers within the Department.
- Participates and promotes cardiovascular medical education including development of continuing medical education programs, curricula and programmatic design for medical student,future GME programs, and APPs.
