We have openings at our CARE Clinic. Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma is looking for a great therapist to join our team! We are looking for a team player who takes initiative and is passionate about helping others. Experience treating co-occurring disorders is preferred. This position will serve clients at our new East Tulsa location (coming soon) and will provide therapy, assessments, treatment plans, and screenings. The focus of treatment will be clients in our Medication Assisted Treatment program as well as our Employee Assistance Program. This position will be held to a productivity standard of 25 hours per week. Responsible for incorporating the agency's Sanctuary Model principles and tools into client care. Hours are Mon/Wed 7:30am-5pm and Tues/Thurs 7:30am-7pm. Requires a master's degree in mental health related discipline. Must be licensed in the State of Oklahoma; e.g. LPC, LMFT, LADC-MH, or LCSW. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

The starting salary for a Therapist II is $82,000.00 annually.

Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, physical health care management and wellness services for over 5,000 children and adults annually. Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to diagnose, intervene, and effectively refer persons in need of mental health services.
  • Ability to evaluate situations and adopt an effective course of action, to delegate responsibilities, organizes and presents facts effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to interact with staff, clients, administration, and the community both in person and on the telephone.
  • Ability to work under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency while maintaining a balance between good physical and mental health and the job requirements.
  • Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding client information.
  • Able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees, clients and the public.


Example of Position Responsibilities:
  • Will provide an array or select clinical behavioral health care services to adults as needed and assigned in line with education, training and or experience to clients at Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma CARE Clinic.
  • Direct psychotherapy assessments or treatment plans, in accordance with established standards.
  • Will provide on-going treatment to clients.
  • Will complete appropriate documentation and development treatment plans.
  • Support and promote a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives.
  • Have the skills to de-escalate consumers who are agitated, anxious, angry, or in other vulnerable emotional states.
  • Have knowledge of psychotropic medications and their actions.
  • Use integrated models of assessment, intervention, and recovery for person having both substance-related and mental disorders.
  • Maintain current clinical case records and other required documentation in a manner to meet established requirements.
  • Collaboratively develop and implement an integrated treatment plan based on thorough assessment that addresses both/all disorders and establishes sequenced goals based on urgent needs, considering the stage of recovery and level of engagement.


Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds, communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees, process complex information within established procedures/programs, enter data to various programs. Must be able to climb stairs and access non-handicapped equipped residences/facilities.
