The Plant Manager is responsible to oversee and manage the facility and production team based in Liverpool, NY. This role acts as a hub between orders being entered, sales and brand requests related to product and development projects all leading to production out of Liverpool, NY Facility. The Plant Manager will oversee information required on a requested basis for labor times, capabilities within the facility and managing the product to start from raw material through to a finished good and shipped product. The ideal candidate will lead by example and create an atmosphere of accountability in the workplace.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the oversight of all aspects of production operation and the facility including production processes, service, cost efficiency, quality, safety, facility maintenance and organizational excellence.
- Effectively lead a cross-functional team of managers in production, supply chain, quality and shipping & receiving to develop quality products and efficiently produce and deliver products to market.
- Provide downward communication of the company's goals, directives and policies, creating a clear vision and positive, team-oriented environment resulting in the achievement of the company's goals and increased profitability.
- Provide upward communication of company's success, profitability and other key metrics to corporate headquarters.
- Manage the production leadership team with efficient and effective training, scheduling, coaching, counseling communication of job expectations, and establishment of annual key performance objectives aligned with business and departmental strategic initiatives, giving performance feedback and performing timely annual performance reviews.
- Ensure policies and procedures are effectively implemented to continually optimize the facility's performance in achieving key metrics.
- Partner with Human Resources in labor planning and recruiting, incentive rewards planning and hiring initiatives.
- Ensure the highest standards for product production and quality and drive operations within the supply chain and production organization.
- Champion lean and continuous improvement initiatives and activities.
- Set and manage the Liverpool, NY Manufacturing and Supply Chain budget and Facility budget.
- Led the facility and grounds maintenance, improvements and upkeep.
- Responsible for all safety and security requirements of the facility, IT requirements, OSHA, and contributes ideas and suggestions for best practices while partnering with HRBP.
- Routinely travel to headquarters, customers and suppliers for business needs.
Qualifications:
- BS or BA in Engineering, Business Administration or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations including a minimum of 7 years supervisory experience.
- Previous production or plant manager experience is essential.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing or six sigma techniques and lead a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of SAP highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions, solve problems, and manage stress.
- Extensive technical knowledge of parts and product is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate up and down the organization.
- Proven ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Must be familiar with obligations under the OSHA.
- Demonstrated experience in managing facility operations and building/grounds maintenance.
- Travel as needed and/or required by essential job functions.
