Designed to provide a comprehensive suite of services, TMC Innovation includes programming to meet the needs of disruptive healthcare startups at every stage, from ideation to commercialization.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Program Manager will oversee the Center for Device Innovation (CDI) at TMC, handling both programmatic and project operations, including CDI facility management. This role requires technical experience in the medical device industry, ideally with an engineering background, to support the development and commercialization of medical devices. The manager will collaborate with physicians, engineers, and leaders across medical device divisions, transforming insights and prototypes into market-ready products while guiding technical and operational frameworks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with program teams to define and achieve program goals, key deliverables, and project milestones across multiple projects.
Develop workflows and timelines to effectively manage concurrent programming with shared resources.
Provide operational support, including drafting communications, guiding participants through onboarding, scheduling sessions and events, and handling documentation and filing.
Engage with program participants (such as startup founders) to help them navigate Biodesign program curriculum and access TMC resources.
Manage, analyze, and prepare reports and presentations on program deliverables, milestones, and outcomes.
Support cross-functional teams to develop and implement frameworks for medical device innovation pathways.
Define the scope, budget, and timelines for external partnerships and cultivate relationships with academic and industry leaders.
Oversee CDI facility operations, ensuring resources and infrastructure to support technical development activities.
Identify and creatively resolve business barriers, fostering a solution-oriented environment.
Ensure accountability and continuous improvement for program success.

KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS

Work Experience:
Technical experience in the medical device industry, ideally with an engineering background.
At least 2-3 years of experience in program or project management with multiple stakeholders.
Previous experience in healthcare or startup settings preferred.
Familiarity with clinical studies, FDA regulations, or community initiatives is a plus.

Education/Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a healthcare-related field, engineering, or business, or 2-3 additional years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship, startups, healthcare, and innovation.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with high attention to detail and accuracy.
