Description:
The Cementing Service Manager is responsible and accountable for the delivery of cementing services at the well site. This position will manage the day-to-day service planning and coordination, customer interface and relationship building, crew scheduling, equipment and resource allocation. Additionally, this position will support employee development, HSE, quality, inventory management, maintenance, customer service, project management, training, planning and budget management.

- Responsible for daily planning, direction, execution and coordination of cementing services activities.
- Accountable for the performance of the cementing service crews, the performance of the equipment, the material inventories assigned to the job, and the accuracy of all pre and post job cementing calculations.
- Assists and supports recruiting, developing and retaining qualified cementing service employees, including reviews and any disciplinary actions. Builds, develops and manages services team capable of carrying out needed service initiatives to the customer.
- Develops and updates regularly the standard operations procedures for cementing services.
- Provides instructions to the crew and appropriate equipment used, including any job scope changes during operations.
- Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness; ensures crew compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental procedures, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage crew compliance preparing and maintaining driver DOT logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate with the customer, understand the current well conditions, understand the overall objectives to be achieved because of the cementing operation, understand specific requirements and specific job requirements associated to those conditions, and able to make procedural change recommendations as situations and conditions change, to ensure achievement of the overall cementing objective.
- Ability to lead crew members and direct work activities during rigging up and down of service equipment at the well location.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems of direct employees.
- Manages employee performance development and technical and non-technical training.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Minimum high school diploma. Bachelor's degree preferred or combination of education and minimum five (5) years of management experience in oil field and cementing services.
- Demonstrated experience of oil field and remedial cementing market - strong knowledge of cement and mixing plant/additives equipment, coordination and operational efficiency.
- Able to perform calculations associated with oil field cementing, slurry calculations, displacement calculations, pressure calculations, force calculations, and volume and height calculations.
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to drive customer service delivery, with safety of our employees as a priority.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage priorities, approval workflow and handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Effectively communicate, both verbally and written in English, bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Reliable telephone (cell phone) communication and transportation.
- Ability to clear eligibility on Axis pre-employment requirements.
- Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law.
