Title: Director, Strategic Planning

Implement and maintain a strategic plan to effect school and district improvement initiatives, ensuring a systematic process of accountability aligned with performance targets. Manage governance and management structures to monitor, evaluate, and communicate progress. Provide strategic input on the organization's long and short-term plans, translating plans into objectives for the assigned function and aligning assigned teams towards common goals.

Essential Functions:
Lead the development and implementation of reform and innovative school and district improvement initiatives aligned with the district's strategic plan.
Oversee efforts to align administrative functions, processes, and special projects across divisions/departments within the district.
Work with division chiefs or department leads to build coherence and alignment of various initiatives.
Coordinate school sites' development of Continuous Improvement Plans (CIPs), ensuring their alignment with the district's Strategic Plan.
Direct the development, improvement, and evaluation of programs and services designed to meet goals outlined in the district's strategic plan.
Identify indicators of success as well as benchmarks and targets for schools and divisions; create and maintain eBoard reflective of strategic planning efforts.
Support the professional growth of staff by providing direction, support, and constructive feedback.
Provide input into overall financial plans, maintaining fiscal accountability.
Provide guidance to the teams, including through times of risk and uncertainty, aligning teams towards common goals.
Scribe for cabinet meetings, agenda setting meetings, mini sessions, and board meetings on behalf of the Superintendent.
Coordinate efforts between the board office or board member and cabinet members on behalf of the Superintendent.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Academic: Master's degree in closely related area with a minimum of five (5) years previous experience with demonstrated successful advancement through the teaching and/or school or school system administrative hierarchy required.
Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in educational leadership at level NL5 or above required.
Non-Academic: (Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources)- Master's preferred and 5+ years of leadership experience. If Master's degree is not held, Bachelor's degree and 9+years of progressive field based leadership experience required. GAPSC Support Personnel License required.
