The Certified Behavioral Analyst will be responsible for:
  • Primarily providing specialized behavior supports in various ambulatory medical clinic settings. May also help cover inpatient medical units and emergency department on main campus, as needed.
  • Working proactively with primary caregivers and staff to develop a plan of care focused on antecedent management and design behavior support plans utilizing evidence based interventions.
  • Assesses patients using the following methods:
    • Interviews staff, family members, school, and community based providers who know the patients well to gather background and preliminary information to assist in developing behavior support plans for ambulatory clinic visits.
    • Directly observes patients and analyzes behavior to help determine the function of the problem behavior.
  • Develops individualized behavior support plans within the context of a medical setting.
  • Develop functional behavior assessment and intervention plan under the supervision and guidance of BRT Behavior Analyst
  • Liaises closely with patient, guardian, Child Life Specialists, Nurses, Social Workers, Psychiatric and Security staff to ensure maximum support and communication.
  • Responds to requests for consultation and service in a timely manner
  • Provides consultation and training to hospital staff on individualized behavior plans. Attends huddles and utilizes other methods to educate medical team on patients' support needs and on how to adhere to a patient's behavior support plan.
  • Ensure that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensures that patients' progress notes are entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational procedures

To qualify, you must have:
  • A Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology or a closely related field as determined by the Behavioral Analyst Certification Board plus a minimum of two (2) years' experience serving individuals with lifelong disabilities including at least one (1) year experience completing comprehensive functional assessments and behavior support plans.
  • Maintain CEU requirement and BCBA credential with Behavior Analytic Certification Board (BACB).
  • Training and clinical experience in providing applied behavior analysis to individuals and families.
