Job description

• Take project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects to completion.
• Support investigation and implementation of improvements and developments identified by the wider business teams to enhance the performance of our digital platforms.
• Work with software developers and architects, UI/UX designers and architects, and product developers.
• Provide oversight for assigned projects with minimal supervision.
• Prepare proposals and time estimates for future work.
• Schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.
• Design and develop infrastructure for modern Contentful-based web pages.
• Efficiently conduct Contentful data modelling.
• Implement design visuals for components and individual pages.
• Migrate WordPress-based content to Contentful; map it to the Contentful data model; and build the necessary tools to automate the task.
• Set up the infrastructure to deliver Next.js-generated web pages to end-users and for editor preview including CI pipeline and content delivery network (CDN).
• Build reusable components and frontend libraries for future use.
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

Skills and Experience

• Should be a certified Contentful developer and must have 3 years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in building responsive websites using CMS, Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Vue.
• 5+ years of experience in maintaining and administering CMS.
• Expertise in Bitbucket, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Must understand cross-browser compatibility issues and approaches.
• Experience in intrating third-party services (translation) to Contentful.
• Should be effective and adaptable in response to frequent change and ambiguity.
• Must have advanced React frontend skills, Hooks, Node, Typescript, Next/Gatsby.
• Prior experience in Static HTML and SSR is desirable.
• Hands-on with Agile development practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
