Description:
We are looking for a Payroll and Analyst to join our client's team and contribute to their growing success. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in both payroll processing and financial accounting, as well as a deep understanding of interdepartmental interactions. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $40 to $50 per hour.

As a Payroll Analyst, you will manage and process payroll in compliance with Federal and State regulations, while leveraging your advanced Excel skills, especially with features like VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and Pivot tables. Your familiarity with the large scale ERP systems will be vital for producing timely reports. You will also handle General Ledger Journal Entries and Reconciliations and work closely with teams spanning Accounting, Finance, and HR to ensure streamlined processes and adherence to SOX controls.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Analyst, you will manage and process payroll in compliance with Federal and State regulations, while leveraging your advanced Excel skills, especially with features like VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and Pivot tables. Your familiarity with the large scale ERP systems will be vital for producing timely reports. You will also handle General Ledger Journal Entries and Reconciliations and work closely with teams spanning Accounting, Finance, and HR to ensure streamlined processes and adherence to SOX controls.
- Balances financial accounts linked to payroll actions, including cash distributions, tax deductions, and garnishments, after each payment period (e.g. bi-weekly, monthly, or annually).
- Conduct routine financial audits.
- Ensure alignment with Unclaimed Wages/Escheatment guidelines.
- Handle the generation, organization, and presentation of financial data for diverse sectors.
- Analyze and identify financial irregularities.
- Have a deep understanding of routine payroll activities, monthly rewards, and healthcare professional payments.
- Conduct financial checks post-payment cycles related to clinician production records.
- Oversee the communication and handling of repayment procedures.
- Gather information and address queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support colleagues in data management, audit responses, and ensure punctual payroll procedures.
- Oversee the evaluation and dispatch of third-party vendor bills.
- Prioritize precision and meticulousness in tasks.
- Ensure confidentiality of classified and personal details.
- Showcase clear and efficient communication skills.
- Offer essential assistance to the payroll department.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as directed or deemed essential by leadership.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with large-scale ERP software.
- Familiarity with Payroll Processing and Reporting within ERP systems.
- Strong foundation in payroll practices.
- Knowledge of Federal and State payroll regulations.
- Familiarity with SOX controls.
- Understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with GL Journal Entries and Reconciliations.
- Insight into the integration of the Finance department with the Payroll function.
- Certification in Payroll Practice (CPP) is a plus, though not mandatory.
