Essential functions (job duties):
Theideal candidate is a distinguished urologist with an outstanding record ofaccomplishments in clinical care, research, education, and service and anaptitude for interdepartmental collaboration and leadership in a complexenvironment. The successful candidate will combine an exceptional clinicalacumen with superb communication skills and emotional intelligence, experiencewith strategic planning, a dedication to mentorship, development of clinicianscientists, and a deep commitment to fostering an equitable environment that isinclusive, humanistic, and respects all facetsof diversity.

Unique duties:
Advance the Department's mission of excellence in 3 major areas: clinical care, education and research. Duties: Collaborate with clinical, academic, and administrative leaders to establish and execute the strategic vision of the Department of Urology within the greater medical enterprise. Responsible for developing educational programs, research and innovation, oversight of clinical operations, financial management, staffing, performance improvement, faculty recruitment, and the strengthening of community partnerships. Cultivate a collegial, inclusive, and multidisciplinary culture consistent with providing mentorship to faculty members of WSU. Responsible for upholding patient-experience models, and promoting clinical quality, safety, and operational distinction.
Qualifications:
MDdegree or equivalent
Possessacademic credentials appropriate for a faculty appointment
Eligible for licensure in Michigan
