About The Opportunity

Working as an integral part of the Nexwsp'ayaken ta Smets'alken Kw'axwa7 Information Technology Department, this position reports directly to the Senior IT Manager, The Change Management Specialist is a key driver of transformation within Squamish Nation, ensuring that new systems, technologies, and workflows are successfully integrated with minimal disruption. Reporting to IT Manager, this role focuses on engaging employees, fostering collaboration, and aligning change initiatives with Squamish Nation's governance, values, and cultural priorities. This position works closely with leadership, employees, and external partners to assess change readiness, mitigate risks, and build strong relationships that support long-term adoption. By promoting inclusivity and cultural understanding, the Change Management Specialist ensures that transitions are not only effective but also respectful of the Nation's unique identity and traditions.   • Combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand long-term implications of change initiatives and align them with Squamish Nation's vision and goals.
  • Deep respect and understanding of Squamish Nation's history, traditions, and governance systems.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with various stakeholders, building relationships, and fostering teamwork.
  • Capacity to identify issues, assess risks, and find creative solutions to challenges during the change process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences and ensure clear messaging.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address barriers to change and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to navigate shifting priorities and dynamic environments.
  • Conflict Resolution: Skilled in managing and resolving conflicts, particularly in a sensitive cultural and organizational context.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor change initiatives.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans.
  • Proficient in using digital tools and platforms to support change management activities (e.g., project management software, collaboration tools, survey tools).
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage people at all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled in providing training, workshops, and coaching to individuals and teams on change management principles and practices.

Salary: $ 76,499 - $ 85,634 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program
