Description
The Chief Data Officer (CDO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the college's overall data strategy, ensuring data quality, and driving business value by managing data governance, analytics, and security, allowing the company to make informed data-driven decisions across all levels of the organization.
Examples of Duties
Supervises staff and data collection team to drive college initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and/or years of experience.

Examples of Duties
- Data Governance:
Establishing and enforcing data governance policies to maintain data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulations. - Data Strategy Development:
Defines a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives, identifying data needs, and prioritizing data initiatives. - Data Management:
Oversees the entire data lifecycle, including data collection, integration, storage, cleansing, and archiving. - Data Analytics:
Leads the development and implementation of data analytics capabilities to extract valuable insights from data for informed decision-making. - Data Security and Privacy:
Ensures data protection by implementing appropriate security measures and adhering to data privacy regulations. - Cross-functional Collaboration:
Works with various departments across the organization to identify data requirements, promote data literacy, and foster a data-driven culture. - Technology Selection:
Evaluates and selects data management tools and technologies to support data operations and analytics. - Performance Monitoring:
Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data quality, usage, and business impact.
